SUMMARY
Maintains required product length and size standards per customer and company specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations.
- Observes operation of equipment to ensure product specifications are met.
- Performs minor machine preventative maintenance checks.
- Sets up grader shaker screens to meet product specifications per supervisor’s instructions.
- Communicates any changes in product flow, equipment malfunctions, or deviations from specifications to poly operator lead.
- Removes off cuts and defects from shakers and conveyor belts as needed and disposes them in appropriate area.
- Collaborates with employees in various departments.
- Adheres to all company and plant policies, work rules, and procedures.
- Attends and participates in all annual, departmental, and job specific required training and monthly informational meetings.
- Communicates any problems or changes in production or quality to supervisor and appropriate personnel.
- Understands and adheres to the concepts and techniques of the quality process in order to ensure a quality operation.
- Keeps area clean and orderly in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
- Helps to build and promote a strong “Teamwork” environment in each individual work group, the Factory, and the Company.
- Participates in continuous improvement process.
- All three lines must be inspected for any possible foreign material/mixed product that could contaminate the line. This must be performed within the first hour of every shift and every cut change.
- On every cut change, a temperature sample must be taken to ensure that the product will be able to be packed as soon as it is classified as A-grade product.
- The re-grader screens must be scraped every 2 hours on Chick-Fil-A.
- Hourly walkthroughs in the Grader Room are required to ensure sufficient sanitation, effective grading methods, and overall observance is achieved of the designated work area.
- Constant awareness and communication of current B-grade generation, tunnel lengths, placement of screen sizes, and bag lengths.
- Aggressive proactive decisions performed related to productivity while remaining within specifications.
- Accurately and completely document the Sizegrader screen size and KPI sheets.
- On all start-ups, prior to the product reaching packaging, testing of rake doors must be performed to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Must adhere to the McCain Code of Conduct.
- The employee may be required to successfully complete the orientation and training provided during the first ninety- (90) days of employment.
