Job Posting for Electronic Technician at McCallion Staffing
Montgomeryville International manufacturer is looking for a full time electronic technician. This is a direct hire position. Salary is $60,000-$65,000 per year.
Responsibilities:
- Support Product Design Engineers by assisting them in conceiving and developing prototype concepts from schematics, sketches, and notes; then with minimal direction, plan, procure needed parts and construct the conceived prototype
- Support Test Engineers by assisting them in conceiving and developing test fixture concepts from schematics, sketches, and notes; then with minimal direction, plan, procure needed parts and construct the conceived fixture
- Debug and test prototypes and test fixtures following their construction
- Document test results in accordance with engineering guidelines
- Document construction details of prototypes and test fixtures
- Provide maintenance and support of the lab area and its equipment
Required Skills/Education:
- HS Diploma/GED and technical training in analog and digital electronics from a vocational technical school, preferably an associate degree or two-year certificate, or higher, in analog and digital electronics from an accredited institution
- Five or more years of electronic technician experience in an engineering laboratory
- Electronic prototyping proficiency including through-hole and surface mount soldering/de-soldering and wire-wrap construction
- Use standard electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, DVMs, function generators and laboratory power supplies
- Set up test equipment, perform tests, determine and documents results
- Mechanical assembly and shop skills including the use of chassis punches, metal shop equipment (brake, shear, arbor press, drill press)
- Perform all type of electrical and mechanical assembly operations
Desired Skills:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
- Familiarity with MIS and/or ERP systems
- Experience using schematic capture and CAD software
- Create and read engineering documents
- Conceptualize, plan, design and assemble a finished electronic/electromechanical prototype or test fixture from engineering schematics, sketches and notes.
