What are the responsibilities and job description for the Claims Specialist position at McClone?
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the claims process for the Commercial Lines department and improve the client’s claims experience. This entails being the liaison between the client and carrier and keeping the Risk Advisor and support team informed of any issues.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Accurate filing of all new claims for the Commercial Lines department.
Monitor claim payments and ensure paid out timely, while safeguarding reserves are in line with the respective loss.
Collaborate with Director of Legal Counsel & Compliance on denied claims to ensure proper defenses.
Prepares for and attends quarterly claims meetings as appropriate for clients.
Proactive oversight and monitoring of claims to ensure timely payments, and appropriate reserve adequacy in line with the respective loss exposure.
Collaborate with Risk Manager in analyzing claim data trends and identifying training opportunities.

High School Diploma or equivalent
Experience
1 years of insurance claims experience
Computer Skills
Microsoft Office Applications
Accreditation
Wisconsin Property & Casualty insurance license required within 60 days of employment and maintained throughout the course of employment.
