Executive Assistant to VP of Development

McCombs Properties is seeking an Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Development for Palmilla Beach Resort. The position involves daily activities including but not limited to scheduling meetings, filing, organizing, and tracking deliverables, drafting correspondence, meeting with vendors, developing budgets, processing and coding invoices, taking notes during meetings, providing status updates of ongoing projects, preparing the weekly staff meeting agenda, attending weekly staff meeting, ensuring office supplies are stocked, creating and managing annual calendar for renewals (licenses, insurance, etc.) and additional tasks as required by the Development Executive. The Executive Assistant also provides support to the Development Team. The position may require some limited travel, routinely lifting, carrying or moving materials weighing 25 pounds, and the ability to work extended hours as needed.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with experience as an Executive Assistant, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office software and an impeccable work ethic. Experience handling financial accounting processes is a plus. Ability to overcome challenges, problem solve, multi-task, be detail oriented, and think outside of the box are key success factors in this position. Being able to perform tasks quickly, accurately, and keep the Development Executive organized and on schedule are critical to the success of the entire Development Team.

The project, Palmilla Beach Resort located in Port Aransas, Texas, is one of the largest beachfront developments on the Gulf Coast. Growth in the second home market is moving at an unprecedented rate. The opportunity will allow the right candidate to assist in building a resort from the ground up. 

The community when built out, will encompass approximately 300 acres and nearly 1,200 homes. The property currently operates a 9-hole Arnold Palmer designed golf course that is arguably the best in the Coastal Bend.
