Yard Crew & Custodian

McConway & Torley is looking for a Custodian/Yard Crew. You will perform heavy-duty cleaning and related maintenance work in an assigned area or building complex. You will also assist all departments with cleanup and removal of trash, cut grass as needed and perform manual tasks that are part of the building, maintenance and overall care of the plant.

Location: Kutztown, PA

What you will do:

• Yard Crew members perform manual tasks that are part of the building, maintenance and overall care of the plant.
• Assist all departments with cleanup and removal of all trash and unwanted items
• Use and maintain hand tools and power equipment such as brooms, mops, squeegees, vacuums, carpet cleaners, floor machines, power washers, and other tools required for the cleaning and general maintenance of the facilities.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, showers and the fixtures located in these areas.
• Sweep, dry and wet mop, scrub, and condition vinyl floor, terrazzo, ceramic floor tiles, hardwood floors, and other floor surfaces. Vacuum and shampoo carpets and furniture.
• Replace toilet paper, paper towels, and restroom supplies as needed.
• Clean walls, windows, mirrors, vents, display cases, etc.
• Operate forklifts, Skid steers, frontend loaders and any equipment needed to complete duties.
• Assist maintenance on a variety of tasks including office maintenance, painting, etc.
• Operate and drive around floor sweepers, weed whackers, and cut grass as needed
• Must be willing and able to work all shifts and overtime as needed

What You'll Need:

• Highschool diploma, or GED equivalent
• Eagerness to learn.
• Must be tolerant to work in outside temperatures.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have a good attitude and be adaptable to changes.
• Must be able to follow all safety protocols for assignments.

Working Conditions:

• Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds.
• This position may require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
