Position Overview
The Content Producer: Video will direct and manage video production for McCormick’s family of brands. This role will manage a team of videographers and motion graphic artists as part of McCormick’s internal content production team, which services McCormick’s entire family of brands, from McCormick Spice to Thai Kitchen and French’s Mustard.
Key Responsibilities
Direct video shoots – from “hands and pans” recipe videos to YouTube videos with talent – inclusive of cinematography/DP tasks.
Edit videos using both Premiere Pro and After Effects – with a strong proficiency in both programs.
Manage and mentor a team of videographers and motion graphic artists to produce high-quality, on-brand, visually engaging work.
Work with content producers and managers to understand project scope and objectives.
Manage sourcing and care of studio video equipment.
Brainstorm and ideate content ideas with McCormick Studios and content managers from various disciplines. Contribute to storyboarding process before going into production.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Film, Visual Effects/Motion Graphics or equivalent experience
8 years of relevant work experience, inclusive of directing video shoots and working in post-production editing and graphics
Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite – with an emphasis on After Effects and Premier Pro.
Experience in project management/workflow tools like Workfront is preferred
People management experience is preferred
Able to mentor, develop and manage junior video creatives.
Experience working with creatives and communicating creative direction
Able to manage projects and tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills required. Must be flexible, change-ready, detail-oriented and deadline driven.
Ability to stay true to a brand identity while still being creative and innovative with content ideas
Cooking experience and/or food and ingredient knowledge is preferred
