Job Description

McDonald’s Strategy & Corporate Development function has guided and supported key organic and inorganic growth-oriented priorities across the Globe. These include the launch of the company’s overall long-term growth strategy (“Accelerating the Arches”), as well as acquisitions and divestitures of several businesses.

The Manager, Strategy & Corporate Development role contributes to these priorities by leading and supporting selected cross-functional strategic projects and partnering with senior leaders on a variety of efforts.

Responsibilities

• Internal strategy consulting support – partner with business units and functions to support key initiatives and explorations. This includes partnering with senior leaders as we continue to fortify our strategy.
• Project management support – create structure and support around key initiatives to ensure robust execution
• Select Corporate Development work – process and analytics support on inorganic evaluations and strategic supplier partnerships
• Accelerator partnership – lead relationship with external early-stage investor, accelerator, and corporate innovation platform

Qualifications

• 3 years essential experience in strategy, finance, marketing, or insights (major Investment Bank or Big 4 Consulting experience preferred)
• Prior experience working with local-global organizations, either in market or corporate roles
• Excellent project management capabilities and ability to manage and prioritize simultaneous projects
• Collaboration and communication skills – a stand-out colleague who can form relationships across markets and functions
• Strong analytical and presentation development capabilities
• Comfort with ambiguity
• Qualities supporting growth of the Global Strategy & Corporate Development team’s reputation within McDonald’s
• Restaurant/Hospitality industry experience not required, but a plus
