Are you a proactive, organized person who enjoys engaging with people? Does creating a “WOW” experience in every employee interaction and being a champion to assist in employee engagement and retention sound exciting? McElroy is currently looking for someone with those qualities! The Employee Engagement Specialist serves as a trusted and collaborative partner, assisting the HR team in providing a proactive, practical, and valued HR perspective in partnership with leadership. They possess strong skills in building relationships, engaging employees, and always maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with HR Team and department managers to build the culture of McElroy.
  • Support the recruiting process by assisting with hiring events, job postings, interview scheduling, candidate screening, and employment offers.
  • Lead new hire orientation to ensure all new employees are properly onboarded.
  • Collaborate with managers to identify and address employee concerns and issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees.
  • Assist with performance management and employee development initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with all legal requirements.
  • Assists in coaching, counseling, career development, policy interpretation, and application with leadership and employees.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of HRIS system; preferably Paycor.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the analytical ability to solve problems.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft products.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with employees at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and ability to think creatively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and demands.
  • Valid driver license and minimum liability insurance required for mobility between multiple campuses in Tulsa.
