Description
The Gold Bar Mine is located 35 miles northwest of Eureka, Nevada. The property has seen historic mining from 1988 to 1994 by Atlas Precious Metals Inc. McEwen Mining Inc. acquired the property and began active exploration in 2011. The current mine consists of an Open Pit Mining Operation delivering Ore to a Crushed Heap Leach with solution being processed through an ADR Plant and Refinery.
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
CORE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION:
Performs routine mechanical maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, repair, and rebuilds according to the engineering standards, best practices, and the manufacturer recommendations.

1 ASSET OPTIMIZATION
Operational / Technical Execution
Provide technical-level input into annual primary maintenance plans developed by the Maintenance Supervisor
Complete, repair, and rebuild processing equipment in the Mill area including pumps, piping and vessels, preventative and predictive maintenance routes, area clean up and rebuilds.
Conduct trouble shooting activities and report back on correct actions and solutions.
Inspects and checks all other components of systems and equipment
regularly.
Close all completed works orders when job is completed, including completion comments.
Maintain a clean work environment free of hazards and submit work requests as needed.
Create and maintain documentation and updates for plant specific maintenance tasks including troubleshooting procedures.
Administration and Controls
Carry out any routine reporting.
Take part in daily and weekly meetings including daily lineout meeting at the start of the shift, weekly safety meetings.
Adherence to housekeeping standards.
No outstanding works orders.
Adherence to, best practices, and manufactures recommendation.
Adherence to SOPs and schedules

JOB AND PERSON SPECIFICATIONS
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
2 or more years of industrial maintenance experience preferrable, preferably in mining industry/heavy industrial environment
Demonstrated experience in operating crushing/processing equipment including jaw, gyratory and cone crushers, and conveyor belts preferred.
Millwright skills to include hydraulic systems and alignments.
Welding experience preferred
STATUTORY/LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
Valid driver s licence
WORKING CONDITIONS
Climbing ladders/stairs, walking over uneven ground
Moderate to heavy lifting
Bend, stoop kneel, and stand for long periods of time.
May be required to wear a respirator.
Works in cold, hot, dusty, conditions in elevations of six to eight thousand feet
May be required to work overtime as assigned by supervision
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Troubleshooting and complete repair on all pumps, primary crushers, Omni cones and conveyor system
Manual dexterity to use a variety of hand tools.
Troubleshooting and rebuilding gearboxes and pumps including centrifugal and positive displacement
Must be able to communicate using mine radios, cell phones and email.
Fabrication, machinist, and high-pressure welding skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental standards and requirements relevant to this area of work
