As an ATG Architect, you are an expert in designing and implementing robust and scalable Omni-channel Commerce solutions including, enterprise integration, headless architectures, content management, analytics and development of B2C/B2B using Oracle ATG and Endeca.
You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions which utilize the Oracle Commerce framework effectively and minimize the amount of customization. You will be familiar with many of the design patterns used by modern e-commerce websites and be familiar with enabling technologies like Docker and Kubernetes. Your experience in developing large- and small-scale projects will be a key factor in building a career with McFadyen Solutions. Responsibilities
Work with our clients to define solution architecture for large scale enterprise e-commerce applications for B2C and B2B clients in Oracle Commerce (ATG and Endeca) and Oracle Commerce Cloud (OCC). Integrate Oracle Commerce with back office systems and third party tools and services. Work with the wider McFadyen delivery team helping to define and estimate projects and provide technical guidance.
Skills & Experience
- 10-15 years of total IT experience with 3 years of leadership experience focus on ATG Architecture and Design.
- 5 years of hands-on experience with various ATG modules such as Commerce, BCC, CSC, CA, and Search
- 2 years of experience with Microservices architectures
- 2 years of experience with one or more of the following: ReactJs/AngularJS, ApiGee/Loopback/Swagger, Spring Boot, Cassandra/MongoDB, Redis, Nginx
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively communicate with business and technical audiences
- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and Container Management software (Kubernetes)
- Experience of integrating Oracle Commerce with Middleware / Enterprise Service Bus (ESB)
- Excellent skills in RESTful web services and related tools such as Swagger.
- Experience of TOGAF ensuring consistent architectural standards, methods, and communication
- Understanding of continuous integration concepts, build processes and tools (ANT, Gradle, Jenkins automated builds, automated unit tests, and continuous builds)
- Solid understanding of source control processes, code branching/merging strategies & source code control tools (GIT, Mercurial, Subversion)
- Experience leading an agile development team in a mixed methodology environment
- Familiarity with building responsive websites which work on mobile and desktops.
- Experience of supporting application servers such as WebLogic, Jboss, and WebSphere
- Excellent Java skills including performance tuning JVMs and heap analysis
- Hands-on skills using databases such as Oracle and MySQL with experience using Hibernate and other object-relational mappings (ORM) tools
- Experience with popular Java IDEs (Eclipse/WSAD)
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills. Should be ready to travel onsite for short term / long term.
- Strong background in web systems integration
- Proven management track record of high-visibility projects
- Mastery of project tracking and reporting
