Landscape Estimating Supervisor

• Increases the organization’s effectiveness by recruiting, orienting, training, coaching, and managing the performance of a team of administrative employees and professionals in a manner that embraces the Company’s commitment to ethical business practices and quality service. Oversees the team’s execution of timely and accurate proposals and business development activities.
• Oversees the effectiveness of construction estimating deliverables including setting forth standard operating procedures; maintaining currency and integrity of software applications; tracking activity and forecasting/planning for upcoming business; and making changes to enhance department performance as opportunities present. Provides status reports (e.g., performance, business development, financial impact and activities) to stakeholders as appropriate.
• Participates in pre-bid meetings to understand key criteria and assesses fit (relationship, market, capacity, etc.)with RHD’s portfolio of business. Upon determination of acceptance, reviews bid opportunities for consideration of complexity, organizational priorities, and capacity. Delegates to team members to ensure timely and accurate proposals.
• Oversees, executes, and ensures an effective approach to estimate development, including but not limited to utilization of takeoff software to quantify relevant elements, requirement and identification of specialized pricing, adherence of irrigation plan specifications to water hydraulic standards, value engineering, and adherence to standard operating procedures for proposed pricing.
• As a working contributor, develops a clear understanding of complex and special project requirements by reviewing bid packages, special bid instructions, and architectural drawings and/or attending pre-bid meetings with potential clients. Develops proposals considering the organization’s profitability, capacity, and sustainability objectives. Recommends bid proposals to executive leadership for final approval.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $90,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Landscape Construction Estimation: 5 years (Preferred)
• Landscape Management: 3 years (Preferred)
• Landscape Estimation Software: 5 years (Preferred)
