Procurement Manager
Job Description
As a procurement professional you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the necessary materials, equipment, and services are acquired efficiently and cost-effectively to support various landscaping projects.
Desired characteristics, qualifications and requirements include:
Continue to strengthen our current supplier relations.
Identify and qualify new suppliers/vendors who can provide materials, equipment, and services needed for various projects.
Develop procurement strategies and plans in collaboration with project managers and field staff to ensure materials are on hand in a timely fashion to meet construction and maintenance needs.
Manage relationships with suppliers/vendors to ensure timely delivery of high-quality materials and services. Including: monitoring supplier performance, resolving issues or disputes, evaluating vendor performance, and contract negotiation (as needed).
Monitor inventory levels of materials to ensure adequate stock levels for ongoing projects. Implement inventory management systems and procedures to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
Collaborate with project managers and field staff to ensure that procured materials meet quality standards and specifications required for each project.
Prepare regular reports and analytics on procurement activities, such as spending analysis, vendor performance, and cost-saving initiatives.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices, streamline workflows, and leverage technology solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall procurement performance.
