Provides support to the patient as a direct anesthesia care provider under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist. Works in the main ORs by providing anesthesia service for AUMC patients in the OR as a member of the anesthesia care team and also in Out OR locations such as EP, Endoscopy, IR, MRI, PACU, and Angiography Suite, etc. The incumbent will also provide anesthesia services at off-site locations as needed. Reviews with the responsible attending anesthesiologist the pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient. Performs evaluations under the supervision of the responsible attending anesthesiologist. Develops and carries out an anesthetic plan under the direction of the responsible attending anesthesiologist, which includes the selection and implementation of appropriate monitors, drugs, fluids, and anesthetic techniques. Attending Faculty / Physician / Anesthesiologist will be responsible for all anesthesia care given. The Faculty/Physician/Anesthesiologist will medically supervise this position.
Position Requirements
Master's Degree Nursing from an Accredited Anesthesia Educational Program. Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Broad of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Must obtain American Heart Assoc. BLS & Age appropriate Advanced Life Support before the start date. Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) by the National Broad of Certification & Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA). Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS). & Age appropriate Advanced Life Support before the start date. CRNA Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in Georgia. Must be credentialed and privileged before the start date.
