Renewable Energy Superintendent Summary:
MCG Utilities is seeking a Renewable Energy Superintendent to provide construction oversight and leadership to all renewable energy projects across the United States. The Renewable Energy Superintendent will manage and direct construction crews, oversee project needs from procurement to repairs, collaborate with customers, and will ensure compliance with specifications, schedules, and budgets in accordance with company procedures. Renewable Energy Superintendent Responsibilities:
- Coordinate project site logistics plan
- Supervise 4-6 crews at any given time across the United States including setting up, scheduling and organizing the crews. Supervise labor performance and quality process.
- Participate estimations in development of a Project Chart of Accounts
- Develop detailed reports on project status, job costs, total cost projections, and monitoring the costs and performance over time
- Identifies, plans, directs, and assists with the selection of materials and equipment needs
- Performs necessary maintenance/repairs of equipment and maintenance of service documents
- Provides training to operators to improve skills and proficiency
- Keeping crews on schedule to finish projects on time / in budget
- Monitors work activities to ensure work operations are being completed safely and efficiently. Implement EEO and Affirmative Action programs.
- Demonstrates strong knowledge of renewable energy projects
- Responsible to temporarily stand in for absent operators and perform related job duties if needed
- Perform monthly billing with A/R (accounts receivables)
- Works closely with and reports to the Director of Construction
Renewable Energy Superintendent Required Qualifications:
- 8 years of renewable experience
- 2 years of managing and leading multiple crews
- Must be willing to travel frequently across the U.S. to various job sites
- Experience with solar or energy related projects of $5M
- Valid US Driver's License
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to problem solve and troubleshoot. Can make executive decisions needed to move the operation forward.
- Must be able to multitask effectively across multiple crews to provide management and oversite
- Physical requirements include the need for frequent walking in the field/on-site, handling heavy equipment, etc. Able to work in all kinds of outdoor working conditions.
- Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
Renewable Energy Superintendent Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in Spanish
- OSHA 30 certification
