Field Project Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities: The Field Project Assistant would help the Project Manager oversee various projects by checking on jobs, taking measurements on jobsites, etc.
Duties will include:
- Attending coordination meetings
- Assisting with the compilation of bids
- Meeting with clients
- Assessing jobsites to see if they are ready
- Measuring completed projects
- Starting crews on job sites
- Assisting crews getting necessary materials in the yard each morning
- Checking on jobsites for progress
- Meeting with project engineers as needed
- Taking pictures of completed projects
- Measuring projects from plan sets with e-Takeoff
- Maintaining inventory counts/logs
- Coordinating and verifying material orders/deliveries
- Directing the loading and unloading of material orders
- Picking up small material orders as necessary
- Estimating and selling projects as needed
- Ordering materials for projects as needed
- Safety committee/meeting coordinator
Qualifications:
- Must be a college student or graduate
- Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain insurability with McGinty’s fleet carrier
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must have experience with common computer software such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook email, internet, etc.
- Working knowledge of ecological restoration and maintenance activities a plus
- Working knowledge of landscape construction a plus
- Ability to read and understand plan sets
Type: Full time, seasonal with availability to work 45-50 hours per week Monday through Friday with limited Saturdays possible during the busy season
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
