A Day in the Life: Organizes, directs and supervises the work of warehouse employees. Loads and unloads material within a warehouse or storage facility. Utilizes hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks and within the storage facility. Receives, unpacks, checks, and stores merchandise or materials. Fills requisitions and orders. Packs, crates, and ships products and materials to distribution center, departments, or assembly line. Will operate forklift.

What You’ll Do:

• Organizes, directs and supervises the work of warehouse employees
• Receives and enters materials into warehouse management system
• Maintains and executes materials management programs
• Operates forklifts to stack and retrieve supplies and materials
• Documents and maintains inventory and ensures production area organization and cleanliness
• Works closely with the purchasing agent to track and organize equipment and material
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• May interact with vendors and suppliers and perform basic purchasing responsibilities
• Maintain inventory of materials and coordinates orders with purchasing agent
• Reviews and distributes material vouchers
• Conducts safety behavioral observations
• Other duties as assigned

Must Haves:

• Able to work outside in variable weather conditions
• Computer skills including Microsoft Office, especially with proficiency with EXCEL spreadsheets
• Ability to follow spoken and written instruction
• Ability to safely perform all tasks and understand Company’s safety policies and procedures
• Ability to guide and lead multiple teams
• Prior experience in related work required
• Prior experience of at least 3 years in the warehouse/construction industry with an understanding of warehouse practices and procedures.

Special Considerations:

• Position requires manual dexterity and the ability to maintain physical activity for most of the day
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold or lift a variety of objects
  • Able to carry, bend, stoop, turn, kneel, crawl, climb a ladder and other manual labor activities
