Tax and Accounting Associate Job Description

We are looking for a permanent hire for our seasonal tax accountant position. Full-time during tax season, with some hours in the off-season if candidate desired. We are a fun, professional tax and accounting firm looking for a senior tax accountant to join our team. Employee would work directly with a variety of individuals and businesses.

Specific Duties include:

  • Client interview and preparation of tax returns for Individuals, Partnerships, S corporations, and Trusts – Lacerte Software
  • Assist in IRS and State Audits
  • Tax Research and compliance
  • Respond to government notices
  • Financial Statement Preparation, year-end adjustments for corporate clients
  • QuickBooks clean-up for business clients
  • Year-end reporting for corporate clients: w-2’s, 1099’s

Desired Skills/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; EA or CPA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Tax
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, self-driven
