Forklift operator 2nd

Description :

We are looking for a technically skilled individual with excellent attention to detail for the position of Forklift Operator.

This role will be responsible for moving material by operating a forklift with the utmost care to ensure efficiency and safety.

The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to achieve maximum efficiency. This individual will be responsible, hardworking, and be a team player!

Duties :

• Unload materials and stack them to assigned places
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
• Comply with company policies and safety guidelines
• Load and unload trailers
• Transport materials to different locations within the facility
• Secure loads to machine before transportation
• Inspect for damages to vehicles
• Operate and manage technical equipment
• Identify workplace safety hazards
• Adhere to safety management standards
• Adhere to production schedules
• Exchange propane tanks on the back of the lift when it is out of gasoline
• Restack lumber when piles are knocked over or need adjustments
• Assist team members in the yard and on the floor as needed
• Special projects as assigned

Requirements :

• Forklift experience preferred
• Mathematical aptitude
• Good organizational skills
• Good written and verbal communication
• Strong work ethic
• Reliable
• High degree of attention and to detail required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment
• Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records
• Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner
• Maintain a clean & safe environment

Physical Requirements :

• Regularly sitting on a powered industrial truck
• Frequently lift up to 50 to 75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, stand, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for long periods of time
• Having a good sense of balance
• Having good eye-hand-foot coordination
• Ability to assess weights and judge distances and heights
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, depending upon season
