Pay Salaried grade 10 $88,300 - $101,800 / year, depending on experience and qualifications The base salary range represents the starting and expected pay for this position. Actual salaries may vary and in some cases may be higher with extensive experience and strong performance. Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. (flexible hours as needed) Job Summary The Plant Training Manager manages the Training & Development Department. Coordinates overall training within the business group. Prepares and maintains departmental budgets and operational plans to support group’s overall operational plan. Oversees Training team to ensure training, development and learning needs are assessed and delivered in accordance with policy and business strategies Supervises other employees and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws Manages the design and delivery of training programs and materials, including instructor-led, E-learning, and Self-study for plant employees Consults/coaches with managers and supervisors to determine training to improve team and individual performance needs Compiles data and analyzes past and current year training requirements to prepare budgets and justify funds requested Formulates training strategies, policies, programs and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, company processes, business systems, changes in procedures or services, or legal compliance issues Provides expertise for process improvements including performance, training, learning and effectiveness measures Leads the selection of appropriate instructional methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role play and E-learning training Manages training manuals, reference library, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia visual aids and other educational materials Promotes directly with managers a broad range of subjects, including supervisory and management development, MOS (McKee Operating System), human relations skills, business systems, policies, procedures and technologies Researches, vets and selects outside consultants and trainers to conduct training in specific topics Oversees the maintaining of records and prepares reports to evaluate performance of instructors and monitor progress of trainees to determine effectiveness and to identify areas of improvement Counsels managers on technical and professional courses/training offered by outside sources Required Qualifications BS Degree, Human Resources, Training, Organizational Development or related field A minimum of 5 years of experience developing and delivering training programs in a professional setting Experience in coordinating and developing training Understanding of, and experience in using, instructional design methodologies Ability to connect company guiding values to concepts and content of training classes and consistently model them Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills High level of personal credibility with peers, management and employees Experience providing job training and skills development Experience working effectively with all organizational levels; strong people skills Experience using both influence and consensus decision making to achieve goals Proven organizational and project management skills Excellent coaching skills Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel Preferred Qualifications Master Degree, Training/Learning, Organizational Development or related field 5 years of experience developing and delivering training programs, including 3 years responsibility for directing and supervising a training department E-Learning design and delivery experience Experience with Operating Systems (Lean, Six Sigma), Living Systems, Mutual Learning and Learning Organizations Experience using a Learning Management System to administer and deliver training Professional Certification Benefits Competitive pay scale 401(k) with matching contributions Health insurance, including prescription drug plan Dental insurance Vision care plan Life insurance Paid time off (for vacation, holidays, sick time, personal time, etc.) Direct deposit payroll Credit Union Shift differential pay Exercise and recreation facility Profit-sharing program Short Term and Long Term Disability Insurance (Premiums Paid by the Company) Please upload your current resume to be fully considered for this position. **EOE, including disability/veterans** Welcome to McKee Foods McKee Foods Corporation is best known for our line of Little Debbie® snack cakes, America's leading snack cake brand.
