Receiver Overview
As a receiver it will be your duty to scan in all incoming new inventory that comes through the door by scanning or punching in UPC numbers of inventory that the drivers bring in. It is also your duty to scan out all trash and outdated items and coordinate vendor and AWG go back items for credit. Responsible for keeping the back area clean of all hazards, and communicating with the corporate pricing dept. all irregular prices found.
Responsibilities
- Be computer literate in using computer programs such as BRdata.
- Responsible for scanning or punching in all UPC numbers of new inventory that comes through the back door.
- Scanning in all new vendor invoices into the system for that day.
- Make adjusting entries when amounts do not match the price in our system and the vendor price.
- Responsible for scanning out all trash and outdated items that can no longer be for sale.
- Responsible for marking down items sales prices if they become damaged but can still be sold.
- Organizing vendor and AWG go back items into the correct locations so the items can be credited back to us.
- Scan all credit items out of the system by scanning or punching all UPCs of outgoing items.
- Responsible for transferring all inventory items when asked from store to store and department to department.
- Have strong communication skills with all drivers, sales reps, and merchandisers.
- Keep the backroom clean and free of any and all trash items that can create a hazard.
- Help load the cardboard bailers and if possible help make bails and load them outside.
- Ability to answer emails and send emails.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age
- Ability to do basic math
- Ability to read at a 8th grade level
Requirements
Preferred Qualifications
- 6-12 months experience
- Ability to be able to multi task
- Strong communication skills
- High school degree or equivalent
Physical requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching.
- Frequent pushing and pulling up to 200 pounds with a power jack.
- Ability to work in a store environment.
