Your Role in the Company
Washes pots, pans, dishes, silverware, utensils, etc. according to standard practice. All other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- Must be able to read and write
- Must be able to follow simple oral or written directions
- Must be able to stoop, stand, walk short distances most of the working day
- Must be able to reach, lift, carry, and stack up to 60 lbs.
- Must be able to pull and push a minimum of 100 lbs. (food carts, trash, supplies)
- Must be cautious while working with kitchen equipment to avoid cuts and burns
- Must be cautious while working on wet and slippery floors to avoid falls
- Must be able to withstand heat and changes in temperature when going in and out of refrigerated or deep freeze areas.
Other Responsibilities
Attends and participates in in-service educational classes and on-the-job training programs, workshops, seminars, etc.

Working Conditions
- Works in well-lighted/ventilated areas
- Sits, stands, bends, and moves intermittently during working hours
- Is subject to interruptions
- Is involved with residents, family members, personnel, visitors, etc., under all conditions/circumstances and may be subject to hostile and emotionally upset residents, family members, etc.
- Works closely with nursing personnel and other department supervisors
- May work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary and in temporary positions.
- May be subject to falls, burns from equipment, infectious diseases, substances/chemicals, odors, etc., throughout the workday.
- Must be able to push, pull, move and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
