Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate State Tested Nursing Assistant to join our team. Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, their families, and caregivers.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist with wound care, including dressing changes and cleaning.
- Perform housekeeping duties, such as cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms.
- Participate in patient care activities, including ambulation, transfers, and positioning.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, including handling and disposing of medical waste.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Use aseptic technique to prevent infection and promote healing.
- Assist with patient transportation and escorting.
- Document patient care activities and any changes in patient condition.
- Provide care and support to patients with various health conditions, including pediatrics, geriatrics, and dementia care.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMRs) such as Epic to track patient information and coordinate care.
Skills:
- Experience working with children and in pediatric settings.
- Knowledge of geriatric care and the unique needs of older adults.
- Ability to maintain aseptic technique and prevent infection.
- Experience working in long-term care and acute care settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals and maintain a positive and supportive attitude.
