TECHNICAL WRITER II-RC5

The Technical Writer will work directly with subject matter experts (and their associated research materials) to develop, write, and edit technical content including reports, manuals, briefs, memos, and related publications. These scientific and technical publications document research and development as well as installation, operation, and maintenance of machinery and equipment. The Technical Writer works on deadline on multiple projects to produce publications that are consistent, concise, and clear.

This qualified candidate may perform the following tasks:

• Properly write, format, and edit publications,
• Maintain records, files, and revisions for multiple in-progress publications,
• Work with and format multi-media content,
• Arrange for the publishing and distribution of materials,
• Write white papers, articles, and other content, and
• Standardize works performed by other editors and authors.

• Must be able to meet customer facility COVID requirements.

Additional writing and editing experience outside of technical and science areas is desired but not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with some background in journalism, public affairs, or marketing/public relations are preferred.

Requires 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in technical writing and editing.

Able to obtain US Security Clearance
