Night Dispatcher
This is a part-time, hourly position
24-46 hours per week, overnight.

Position Summary:
The Night Dispatcher position is critical to our success as it provides a source for our drivers to get dispatch and customer service questions answered and issues resolved after hours when our office terminals are typically closed. The Night Dispatcher must build trusting relationships with our drivers and make the most productive use of their available hours of service to deliver as much of our customers product as possible to the marketplace. A successful Night Dispatcher will be goal-oriented and foster a culture of best-in-class safety, customer service and driver satisfaction.
Job Responsibilities:
- Field all dispatch, customer service and planning calls from our entire fleet of drivers
- Coach and manage drivers on fuel efficiency and load planning to maximize tractor and driver productivity
- Track and trace all customer loads and relay service reports to operations
- Book, accept and schedule loads on assigned accounts
- Be the first line of contact for minor safety-related issues and coordinate with the on-call safety representative when appropriate
- Minimize driver turnover by building strong, professional, and respectful relationships with each driver with a focus on driver success
- Provide on-time service to our dedicated, long-lasting customer base
- Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Truckload Transportation experience is preferred
- Professional interpersonal communication skills between all level of the organization, with an emphasis on telephone communication
- Ability to work well individually, while maintaining focus; and work well under pressure with a diverse group of drivers
- Ability to respond and communicate in a timely manner and follow through with an appropriate action for any situation
- Organization skills necessary to multi-task, plan and prioritize work, and pay attention to detail
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent sitting, standing and use of hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone
- This position is primarily in an office environment
- Ability to climb stairs daily to report to the office
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 26 per week
