TITLE: Winery Harvest Cellar Worker
REPORTS: Winemaker & Assistant Winemaker
FLSA CLASS: Hourly Non-Exempt
The job duties described below are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job classification. Job Description:
Harvest help for the 'crush' at Edgefield is a seasonal job that requires hard physical labor and working outside in all weather conditions. Typical daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: processing incoming fruit, working with and around winery machinery and forklifts, punching down fermenting bins, racking juice and wine from tank to tank, shoveling stems and pomace, and sanitation of processing and cellar equipment. This position also requires a motivated individual with a flexible schedule and a willingness to learn about the winemaking process. Each McMenamins employee will be expected to perform their job in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to Management. All McMenamins employees will also be expected to keep current on all company events, history, and products. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements of the Job:
- Previous winery experience preferred, but not required
- Flexible schedule, with availability for extended workdays including daytime, evening, weekend and Holidays
- Experience working around forklifts preferred
Essential Job Functions:
- Must have a value for diversity and the ability to work with individuals from different backgrounds

- Ensure all standards for cleanliness
- Safely practice heavy lifting and carrying, with the help of another person if necessary, with frequent heavy lifting up to 75 lbs.

- Comply with all Winery safety policies and procedures
- Repetitive movements including bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, and stooping
