Associate Litigation Attorney

Description

McMichael Taylor Gray, LLC is seeking an Associate Litigation Attorney for our South Carolina location. The applicant must be licensed to practice law and in good standing in South Carolina with licensure in additional states preferred. The ideal applicant will be familiar with the rules of evidence and have experience in foreclosure law, bankruptcy, litigation, and a general understanding of all aspects of property law.

• Drafting and/or review of legal documents and pleadings, arguing motions, handling discovery, trial preparation and legal research
• Management of file caseload
• Respond to court notifications and inquiries received from clients, debtors, and debtors' attorneys
• Court Appearances
• Willingness to travel statewide in South Carolina as needed

Skills/Abilities:

• Minimum of 2 – 5 years’ experience in foreclosure law and litigation required
• Experience and/or willingness to learn in drafting pleadings, making court appearances, and case law research
• Must be able to proficiently work with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and organization abilities
• Strong work ethic with the ability to balance and prioritize high volume workload
