Quality Inspector
- Inspect parts and equipment using an open plate setup using granite plate.
- Ensure product meets established quality standards visually and dimensionally.
- Execute existing CMM Programs to include trouble shooting program to ensure the integrity of the measurements.
- Double check nonconformance’s properly using alternate measuring methods if necessary.
- Analyze trial products during development and test finished goods.
- Record and analyze inspection results in order to decide whether to certify or reject specific products.
- Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards.
- Maintain paperwork and quality documents in a manner that is successful to auditing checks.
- Demonstrate working knowledge of ISO work instructions.
- Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated and maintained properly and ensure safety during operation of equipment.
- Draft reports and collate inspection data.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Specific technical or vocational training preferred, but not required.
- Minimum of 3-6 years of inspection and production experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Experience executing CMM Programs required.
- Advanced blueprint reading and granite plate measuring skills required.
- Basic understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GDT) and ERP systems.
