Full job description
Quality Inspector
Inspect parts and equipment using an open plate setup using granite plate.
Ensure product meets established quality standards visually and dimensionally.
Execute existing CMM Programs to include trouble shooting program to ensure the integrity of the measurements.
Double check nonconformance’s properly using alternate measuring methods if necessary.
Analyze trial products during development and test finished goods.
Record and analyze inspection results in order to decide whether to certify or reject specific products.
Evaluate data and draft reports, noting any relevant deviations from existing standards.
Maintain paperwork and quality documents in a manner that is successful to auditing checks.
Demonstrate working knowledge of ISO work instructions.
Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated and maintained properly and ensure safety during operation of equipment.
Draft reports and collate inspection data.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Specific technical or vocational training preferred, but not required.
Minimum of 3-6 years of inspection and production experience in a manufacturing environment required.
Experience executing CMM Programs required.
Advanced blueprint reading and granite plate measuring skills required.
Basic understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GDT) and ERP systems.
