Responsibilities and Duties:
- Work on commercial, retail and light industrial properties, primarily on exterior lighting and associated electrical
- Change various types of bulbs and ballast
- Troubleshoot electrical problems on location
- Perform routine maintenance
- Review electronic work orders on smart phone daily for scheduled sites and determine scope of work required
- Diagnose a variety of issues and manage a variety of different projects and tasks
- Document the work performed and the inventory used on work order system
- Responsible for restocking required inventory needs per designated vehicle
- Work overtime as needed
- Work hours to include occasional night and or weekend hours to respond to emergencies
- Participate in an “On-call” rotation for approximately one week out of every 9-10 weeks
- Perform such other duties as requested from time to time
Qualifications and Skills:
- 2 years’ experience and skills as a Lighting Technician on commercial properties
- Strong electrical knowledge
- Electrical experience concerning ballast and bulbs
- Knowledge of lighting system controls -- timers, contactors and photo cells
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Minimum Class C CDL Required
- Bucket truck experience required
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including working in all weather conditions, at heights up to 60', operating scissor lifts and boom lifts, lifting up to 100 lbs. occasionally, climbing ladders, crouching, crawling on knees, standing for up to 8 hours, and lifting arms overhead
