Role Overview 

As a critical member within the Store Operations team, this role will lead the development and implementation of strategies, focused on operational excellence. The Director of Store Operations will develop daily operations, policies and procedures, support special initiatives, and identify opportunities to drive sales and maximize profits within stores across multiple brands.

Responsibilities 

  • Oversee key Retail Operation functions, including process improvement, daily operations, execution, procurement and asset protection.
  • Shape, evolve, and optimize our store operating model with a focus on efficiency, simplicity, and adoption.
  • Proactively identify operational gaps and process improvement opportunities; maintain a prioritized multi-year roadmap and drive coordinated execution against it.
  • Partner with Technology team to implement and refine operational support systems.
  • Work with partners to translate and define business requirements that support effective store execution.
  • Design, plan, and execute pilots for technology and process changes, leveraging KPIs, key success criteria, and field feedback and sponsorship to develop solutions and make recommendations.
  • Plan and execute full fleet rollouts of new policies, processes, and systems; build and maintain realistic project plans and provide executive updates as needed.
  • Oversee, plan and gate keep daily operations, including cross-functional workload planning and task coordination.
  • Manage Retail Support model, leveraging systems and business partner participation to provide a high level of service and responsiveness to store support requests.
  • Bring operational excellence to life in our stores.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned to support broader Retail Operations function.

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience within Retail Operations
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, or related fields (or equivalent work experience)
  • Retail Experience that is Fast Fashion (or like category) and omni-channel
  • Strong business acumen
  • Success in training & developing field retail teams.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in project management and retail/store operations
  • Excellent project management skills, including planning, execution and follow up skills.
  • Understanding of various retail programs, technologies and KPI's
  • Ability to analyze data and develop strategies to address opportunities.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple demands and competing priorities and ambiguity successfully.
  • Must have strong sense of urgency with demonstrated ability to work independently, apply critical thinking skills to various scenarios and make effective well-thought-out decisions.
  • Experience with process change and process implementation and innovative thinking.
  • Anticipates potential challenges or obstacles, and timely identifies and implements solutions.
