The primary purpose of the Assistant General Manager at the Courtyard by Marriott Houston Park Row is to ensure that guests and associates have an excellent experience at our properties by supporting all facets of the operation and managing financial performance of the hotel.Responsibilities:Understand and assist General Manager with basic accounts payable/accounts receivable functions, along with P&L analysis and budgetingControl costs at the same time as protecting the assets of the hotelTurn in all paperwork in a timely manner with precision and exactnessMaintain daily, monthly, and annual property cash handling procedures, deposits, and securityEnsure any irregularities are recorded in appropriate locations and brought to the attention of the GM and/or corporate officeCreate and maintain a strong team with great cohesivenessUnder the direction of the General Manager, effectively hire, train, and hold accountable the entire staff of the hotelEnsure brand and MCR standards are met and documentedMotivate the team to drive revenueUnderstand sales effort within the market and drive both Occupancy and ADREffectively execute and maintain all front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and F&B logisticsDemonstrate brand citizenship by maintaining compliance with all required brand standards, behaviors, hallmarks, and license agreement mandatesPass all brand Quality Assurance Audits and Local InspectionsDrive improvement in guest satisfaction goals.
