Summary:
The Sports Events Supervisor will oversee and lead Sports Events Aide I and II team members through the preparation, execution and close out of various venue sporting events. Responsibilities include outstanding customer service, team oversight, timely service, quick response to guest’s needs, proper cash handling, proper food handling, sports events setup, product quality assurance, cleaning and sanitation, and safety duties.

Position Responsibilities:
Supervises Sports Events Aide I and II team members during shift or in absence of Director. Provides Director with feedback on personnel
Serves as venue liaison to event hosts and/or guests; follows operational procedures to ensure venue facilities and/or resources are used appropriately, and contract rental schedule is adhered to
Conducts and supervises full event preparation, setup and tear-down for various sporting activities including but not limited to: Basketball, Volleyball, Baseball/Softball, Soccer, Pickleball, Roller Derby
Maintains and oversees venue sports equipment including but not limited to: Basketball goals/backstops, volleyball nets and poles, pickleball nets, spectator bleachers, tables and chairs, Soccer goals, field marking and spiking/dragging equipment, bases, pitching mounds, etc. Reports deficiencies and maintenance requirements to Director. During shift assist the Director with equipment repair and/or maintenance scheduling
Conducts quality control reviews of grounds maintenance and ballfield preparation, reports deficiencies to Director. During shift assist the Director with corrective action(s)
Oversees event crowd control and assist guests to maintain a safe and organized event; responds to customer inquiries
Responds to incidents and contacts appropriate authorities; completes incident reports to management
Maintains and supervises cleanliness of the complex including but not limited to: Gymnasium, Athletic Fields, restrooms, Concessions and common areas of the park
Assist with the coordination of event parking
Administers the Opening, operating and closes the concession operation to include but not limited to issuing of cash registers, closing out cash registers and prepares deposits.
Maintains and supervises concession areas following health department standards. Ensures health department standards for food service are adhered to.
Conducts and supervises preparation and serving of food and drink products to patrons
Conducts product inventories for Director and restocks incoming products.
Custodial duties – emptying trash, cleaning and restocking restrooms, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facilities.
Adhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and taking precautionary measure to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral is mandatory.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education
High School diploma or equivalent
Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management or equivalent experience
Experience
Previous supervisory experience
Experience in food services and customer services
Experience in facility preparations for various sports events preferred
License and Credentials
Reliable transportation
Valid driver license
Food Safety Manager Certification preferred
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of and the ability to setup/operate various venue sports equipment including but not limited to Basketball goals/backstops, volleyball nets and poles, pickleball nets, spectator bleachers, tables and chairs, Soccer goals, field marking and spiking/dragging equipment, bases, pitching mounds, etc.
Knowledge of and the ability appropriately setup courts, fields, and etc. for various sports activities
Knowledge of and the ability to operate a cash register/point of sales system while following established cash handling protocols
Knowledge of and the ability to prepare/serve food and drinks following Health Department Standards
Knowledge of and the ability to clean and sanitize facilities and equipment to Health Department Standards
Knowledge of and the ability to safely operate restaurant equipment and appliances.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with the public and team members
Ability to supervise and lead team members toward in various objectives simultaneously
Must be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a team
Must have good written and verbal skills
Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills
