Overview
THIS IS PRIMARILY A WEEKEND SHIFT POSITION: (FRIDAY-SUNDAY 5 A.M. TO 5 P.M), MAY CHANGE DEPENDENT UPON PRODUCTION NEED & SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES PREFERENCE.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The Inventory Control Associate guarantees inventory accuracy across the facility which promotes manufacturing excellence; actively supports the shipping and receiving departments to ensure a consistent flow of material and limit production disruptions.

-Sustainability: Implement 2 Inventory Control Optimizations per year.
-Customer Experience: Count all receiving warehouse locations per quarter
-Leadership: Complete 2 professional development opportunities per year.
Qualifications
CORE FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE:
-Cycle Counts (60%): Proactively utilize the cycle counting system to create a standard for counting all locations within the receiving warehouse at least once per quarter. Work closely with the production teams to ensure proper flow of accurate inventory to maximize daily build performance and perform necessary cycle counts on parts that have limited production’s ability to meet daily build goals as they arise.\
-Shipping/Receiving (20%): Proactively assess and accurately receive all inbound material; inspect all items for quality, quantity, and shipment accuracy. Assiduously and accurately process all paperwork, create inventory labels, and tag material to ensure seamless flow of WIP inventory. Cultivate and foster trusting relationships within the receiving department to provide sound service to the organization. Proactively work with the shipping team to maximize customer satisfaction by accurately preparing DOT-compliant transportation documents. Assiduously verify all shipment information, input data into the transportation system, and validate the accuracy of shipping documents prior to departure.
-Special projects (20%): Cohesively partner with Scheduling/Shipping/Receiving to provide support for projects that will promote forward-thinking improvements among the departments. Assist in a support role for the scheduling department as the need arises, and seek opportunities for professional development to gain an in-depth understanding of the organization.
