Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • All code-related reports: i.e. ASME data reports, DOT/TC/TPED inspectors’ reports.
  • Verify all material for the various codes.
  • Work closely with DOT test lab along with On line Inspectors, and in-house third-party Inspectors.
  • Coordinate inspections/audits with various third-party agencies (Government, ABS, ASME, TC, TPED).
  • Certify and monitor all code welders and procedures.
  • Approve all new and revised prints from Engineering.
  • Monitor all code related procedures plant wide.
  • Review and approve deviations and Engineering change requests.
  • Supervise getting customer requests for data reports and inspection reports.
  • Create and distribute code synopsis for new code editions of ASME
  • Responsible for application and certification renewals where audits are not required.
  • Review and revise Quality ASME manual with Code synopsis updates and distribute accordingly.
  • Responsible for DOT X-ray review

  • The associate must be dependable and self-motivated.

Education and/or Experience:
Engineering degree with one year on job experience or 5 years related experience.
and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be proficient in basic computer skills, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be able to obtain Radiographic Non-Destructive Testing Level II certification.
