Ideal candidate will need to possess all around project management skills. Proficient in scheduling, financial budgeting and tracking, project reporting, and interpretation of construction documents. Additionally, with an emphasis on project activation and coordination skills.
SUMMARY
The primary purpose of the Senior Facilities Project Manager for Activation position in Facilities Planning, Design and Construction is to provide leadership and management for activation and deactivation efforts related to Capital and Expense Projects. Activation and deactivation efforts include, but are not limited to, Medical and Laboratory equipment planning and shop drawing coordination, vendor coordination, procurement, and implementation; furniture design coordination, procurement, and installation; FFE inventory management; coordination with peer groups within FPDC; scheduling and move coordination; budgeting and contract management; site decommissioning; and related project communications.
JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Planning/Design Furniture and Equipment Planning, Procurement and Installation, including furniture and equipment inventories, floor plans, budgets, requisitions and schedules. Design Standards Coordination and Compliance including drawing/submittal reviews and checklists, and variance submissions.
Move Coordination/Activation/Deactivation Move coordination and Site Deactivation including site inspections, logistics and warehousing, budgeting and estimating, punchlists, schedules, asset transfers, work orders, safety clearances badging, regulatory compliance, databases for move management, creation of communication plans, move procedures and manuals. Identify and coordinate client needs (Clinical Engineering and end users) to include IT, security, and AV.
Documentation Assist with contract development and management including related RFQ/RFP’s, scope development, selection processes and contracts, invoice/budget tracking reports, and schedules. Document Management including project reports, space reports, meeting minutes, and project file organization.
Leadership Provide project leadership and demonstrate independent ownership of required deliverables and responsibilities associated with on time, on budget project delivery. Lead teams with autonomy, relying on experience and established processes to consistently achieve quality outcomes and exceed expectations.
Other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Science or other construction related Architectural Engineering field or related discipline. Five years of project management/construction experience. May substitute required education degree with additional years of equivalent experience on a one to one basis.
