Position Summary :

The Bookkeeping Biller will be responsible for recording and maintaining the company financial transactions, such as purchases, expenses, sales revenue, invoices, and payments.

To be successful in this role, candidates must be computer savvy, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment with the ability to triage and prioritize projects with strong attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Process drayage and logistics billing.
• Process port terminals websites adding charges, chassis, detention, storage, etc.
• Process Demurrage.
• Fast paced processing of data entry into internal systems.
• Records numerical and financial data to produce financial records.
• Enters journal entries to debit and credit the company’s accounts.
• Generates accounting and audit reports for cash receipts, accounts payable and receivable, expenditures, and profits and losses.
• Reconciles and reports differences or issues found in financial records.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Competencies :

• Drayage and logistics billing experience.
• Port terminals websites knowledge Drayage billing experience (adding charges, chassis, detention, storage, etc)
• Demurrage business experience.
• Knowledge of Accounts Payable practices is required.
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is preferred.
• Experience in drayage billing (adding charges, chassis, detention, storage) is required.
• Knowledge of Port Terminal websites is preferred.
• Ability to use accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.
• Ability to efficiently operate a 10-key calculator or equivalent and other related office equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Required Education and Experience :

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree with accounting coursework preferred.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience required, preferably in the financial industry.

Pay :

The pay is competitive, depending on experience ($28.00 / hour) and will be discussed during an in-person interview.
