About the Position

The Certified Athletic Trainer with Meadville Medical Center will provide athletic training care for middle/high school age athletes served by Crawford County Sports Medicine. You will plan, coordinate, and supervise the athletic training program under the direction of a physician in order to prevent, recognize, assess, manage, treat, and recondition athletic injuries and illnesses.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between schools, coaches, parents, and physicians regarding the student athlete
• Consult with coaches and parents on the recognition and care of injuries, development and implementation of programs, and other issues concerning the health and fitness of athletes
• Document in medical record according to department policies and procedures the diagnosis of injury, treatment, and rehabilitation programs

Requirements

• National Athletic Trainers Certification
• State Certification (Level A)
• Professional affiliation with the Pennsylvania Athletic Trainers Society and the National Athletic Trainers Association
• Current BLS certification
