Certified Phlebotomist Technician

MED-1 is looking for great people to join our team! As a Phlebotomist you will be responsible for providing great patient care in order to support and ensure efficient operation of MED-1. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care with a primary task of performing venipunctures and other lab related tasks. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients and document basic medical history
  • Update and file medical records
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms.
  • Provide a variety of services including; drug screens, venipuncture, immunizations, audio and vision testing etc.

Skills

  • Licensed phlebotomist
  • preference given to phlebotomist with greater than 1 year experience
  • Knowledge of patient management systems and procedures
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Experience:

  • EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • BLS Certification (Preferred)
  • Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

  • Grand Rapids, MI 49503: Relocate before starting work (Required)
