Description
- Seed Technicians are involved in all facets of seed production within our location. Indoor seed processing and packaging activities may include receiving, scanning, cleaning, treating, sorting, counting, labeling, or warehousing seed.
- Outdoor activities may include planting, pollinating, note taking, data entry, hand harvest, monitoring growth of plants.
- Lab activities may include preparing media, inoculations, helping maintain equipment and basic lab processes.
- R&D positions may also include electronic data collection in field and laboratory settings utilizing PC and handheld data collection devices.
- Activities may require bending and lifting, long periods of sitting or standing.
- Extended hours may be requested during the peak seasons.
Safety
- Must be able to adhere to all client's SOPs and to support all site safety requirements.
- Be a true leader in the area of safety.
- Actively participate in on site trainings and safety teams.
Required Skills
- Must be able to understand verbal and written task and safety instructions delivered in English, and to perform assigned tasks accurately.
- Previous experience with MS Office / Excel and other standard computer and software systems required.
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Skills
- Related experience highly desired.
- Ability to communicate in Spanish desired.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
