Responsibilities:
- Maintains and monitors the function of the following respiratory care equipment, including CPAP and Bilevel devices, , pulse oximetry, apnea monitoring devices, and portable oxygen concentrators.
- Acts as a resource to other health care providers (referrals), regarding clinical issues.
- Provides patient, family, or caregiver with education related to disease process, therapy orders, and equipment use and functions.
- Completes patient assessments and reassessments. Coordinates patient care and services. Identifies non-compliant patients.
- Understand and practice the rules regarding patient confidentiality, HIPPA and compliance, and safety. Adhere to all state and federally mandated standards regarding confidentiality and patient rights.
- Perform other duties as required.
