Medco Healthcare Medical Group is a primary care practice that provides care exclusively via house calls throughout the Southern California Region (LA, Orange County, and Inland Empire). We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner and/or Physician Assistant to diagnose and treat health conditions, as well as promote good health practices. As an advanced practice registered nurse, you’ll be our go-to person for ensuring the best patient care possible. The job description of a nurse practitioner includes conducting physical examinations, interpreting lab tests and overseeing patients’ health. You’ll be both a health practitioner and an educator, supporting disease prevention practices and helping people lead healthy lives.
The majority of patients are elderly with Medicare coverage and are assigned to the nurse practitioner and/or Physician Assistant for continuing primary care visits every 30-60 days. Visits include but are not limited to: taking vital signs, performing an exam, ordering labs/treatments as necessary, diagnosing, managing chronic conditions, prescribing, and charting the visit.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid California Driver's License
- Active Car Insurance
- Examine patients and their medical records
- Order and study diagnostic tests (blood tests, X-rays etc.)
- Diagnose health conditions and illnesses
- Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases
- Prescribe medications
- Maintain accurate records and schedules
- Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications
- Educate patients and their family members on diseases, epidemics and prevention
- Oversee patients’ overall health
- Promote good health practices
- Advance professional knowledge and conduct research.

Minimum Experience:
- Computer literacy/EMR proficiency
- At least one (1) years prior clinical experience with emphasis in General Medicine/Internal Medicine or Family Practice highly preferred
Education/Licensure:
- Active California state license as a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
- Active Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Board Certification
- Medicare Part D Prescriber
- Valid California driver license and current automobile insurance
PA (Physician Assistant):
- Active PA License (Must, upon start)
- NPI Number (Must, upon start)
- DEA Number (Must, within 6 months of start)
- Board Certification: NCCPA (Must, within 6 months of start)
- Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) (Must, upon start)
- Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (Preferred)
