What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sr. Test Engineer - Healthcare SaaS position at MedeAnalytics?
MedeAnalytics is looking for a driven and experienced Sr. Test Engineer who will play a pivotal role in further developing best practices and processes for the QA Support department. They will be responsible for understanding both Payer and Provider products within the Mede domain, manage multiple client projects simultaneously, and will have the ability to provide cross-training to other resources on Mede platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with leading the creation of Test Automation tools / frameworks within QA Support
- Capable of providing for onboarding and mentorship to new QA Engineers
- Help manage and contribute to a Documentation Repository for QA Support Processes and Best Practices
- Improve Security Testing Practices for Payer and Provider Products
- Provide QA Effort estimates for project tickets
- Manage UAT Workbooks to help provide guidance to clients throughout testing
- Facilitate client meetings to review QA Collateral
- Create and manage Test Case Repositories within JIRA
- Responsible for creating reusable Manual and Automated Test Suites
- Capable of creating complex SQL queries to extract information from multiple databases
- Actively participate in Sprint Planning sessions with Project Teams
- Capable of instructing, directing, and checking the work of other QA Engineers
- Comfortable communicating directly with clients and end-users of the platform
- Executes System Integration Testing and communicates the results for approval
- Analyzes, reports, and monitors issues and defects found during testing execution
- Conduct Regression Tests to ensure that any changes to the system have not effected existing functionality
- Supports the business customers in the creation and execution of the business acceptance test plan, test scripts / cases data, and results
- Collaborate with peers on your scrum team and within QA on areas for improvement and innovations
Essential Education, Experience and Interests:
- Associates/Bachelors/Master’s Degree (IT, MIS, Healthcare Degree or equivalent) strongly desired or equivalent work experience.
- 5 years of experience in software testing with a proven track record in software development and performance testing
- Knowledge of US healthcare industry strongly preferred
- Expert in agile and software development life cycle
- Extensive experience with QA techniques and methodology; developing test strategy and test plans, designing, implementing, executing, and analyzing test cases
- Highly analytical with a track record for developing expertise in the industry and product under test
- Experience in analyzing various features in a release and recommend suitable test strategy to achieve greater product quality for each release
- Seasoned in efficient test design; keen vision for designing tests for maximum coverage and minimum maintenance
- Client-facing experience including leading dicusssions around testing and creating QA documents/materials
- Experience onboarding and training new hire resources in a mentor/buddy capacity
- Comfortable leading and/or participating in client UAT efforts
- Advanced understanding, knowledge of application functionality (Example: business process flow, rules, and functional flow) and associated interfaces
- Strong in working through conflicts and facilitating conversations to agreement
- Experience creating Test Reports and reviewing them with Project Stakeholders
- Understanding of Test Automation Best Practices
- Experience Creating and/or Maintaining Test Automation Frameworks
- Intermediate Knowledge of SQL Database Queries
- Intermediate Understanding of Java Software Development
- Experience using JIRA as a Software Delivery and Test Management Tool
- Knowledge of API and UI automation; Postman and Selenium preferred

MedeAnalytics believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, relevant experience, professional achievements/qualifications, business need and location.
