Job Summary
A Dental Hygienist provides superior quality dental services as the principal provider of preventative and restorative periodontal care in the practice. The Dental Hygienist must possess the ability to assess, perform and reinforce productive preventative aseptic dental care of patients and support as well as reinforce communicated diagnosed dental treatment needs.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrate a working knowledge of dental records and documentation.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must be detailed oriented.
Comply with company’s standard operating protocols and procedures.
Exercise knowledge of dental instruments and terminology.
Maintain the highest level of confidentiality to HIPAA standards.
Ability to calm and reassure patients facing uncomfortable or painful procedures.
Be self-motivated with the ability to exceed patient expectations.
Possess excellent organizational skills to effectively handle multiple tasks.
Perform efficiently within in a fast-paced, busy environment while maintaining composure, staying on task, and providing a high-quality service experience for patients.

Qualifications Required
Current dental hygiene license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; current anesthesia license is preferred but not required.
Current CPR training.
Two years of practice experience is preferred but not required.
