Reporting to the Executive Director of Production, the Executive Producer will oversee original production for Apple Services pod and be responsible for the holistic production output of those projects. This person should exhibit group leadership skills and a collaborative approach across all departments to ensure that all projects are adequately staffed and managed. The Executive Producer will oversee production discipline leads on projects to ensure they are accountable for the work and the agency operations at the highest standard possible. They will interact with Client Ad Team leads, manage all relationships between the department and outside vendors/partners, stay informed on new production workflows and technologies, and help ensure that all productions are run efficiently and cost-effectively.

The Executive Producer should be mature, nurturing and approachable. This person should act as a role model for leading production on their pod/brand. This role requires strong interpersonal communication skills and a keen sense of time management. This person should be able to see the big picture and ask the right questions to ensure that the quality of execution is up to brand standards. They should stay in close communication with the ET, and offer a point of view on production and vendor selection. This person will be a vocal leader while partnering with all disciplines to ensure creative excellence and brand integrity through smooth and flawless execution in productions. The perfect candidate will have a highly collaborative attitude and a passion/commitment to doing whatever it takes to create outstanding work. They should be consistently developing new relationships in the production world and be well-versed in current work globally. 

The Work:

  • Form and manage producer teams for projects across all disciplines within pod/project.
  • Deliver high standard of creative output.
  • Ensure an integrated approach to production and budgeting.
  • Build relationship and trust with Client.
  • Provide guidance through pod leadership meetings.
  • Resolve issues/conflicts with vendors and staff.
  • Supply weekly reports to the Executive Director of Production with production updates.
  • Manage resource allocation for specific productions, working with other EP’s to make sure work is covered.
  • Review and approve weekly timesheets & expenses.
  • Manage and approve vacation requests and schedules.
  • Attend pre-pros and key shoot/post sessions if needed.
  • Stay informed on new production workflows and technologies.
  • Ensure producers are getting down time when needed.
  • Do annual reviews of team members and issue promotions.
  • Mentor the production team and take the time to help them learn, grow and contribute.
  • Work closely with Creative, Strategy and Account Teams to support Client goals.
  • Blend the theoretical and practical to deliver a high-level creative product.
  • Stay forward looking to deliver cutting edge work and unique distribution of that work.
  • Understand localization and help streamline that production workflow for the pod.

Role specific responsibilities will include:

  • Direct oversight of original content production and localization for all the Apple Services pod including motion, digital, social and experiential disciplines.
  • Work closely with Be Grizzlee to create a cost effective and bespoke social content workflow for Apple TV .
  • Develop thorough knowledge of all ATV shows and content.
  • Understand the talent implications, restrictions and Client approach to production of promotional content.
  • Build relationship with ATV Client relations & legal teams.
  • Establish consistency: standardize processes and templates.

Who Will Thrive In This Role:

  • 10 years experience in advertising agency production with a focus on Content Production
  • Must have technical knowledge of TV production.
  • Filmed in multiple countries and produced multiple genres.
  • Experienced in multiple production disciplines including digital, social and experiential/events.
  • Proven project manager; able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deliverables, managing production budgets and resources.
  • Held a leadership role in previous jobs or projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills; able to foster optimal department relationships.
  • Calm under pressure; able to see big picture while focusing on granular details.
  • Strong ability to multi-task, manage a team and remain calm under pressure.
  • Must be organized, efficient and quick thinking.
