Now, about the opportunity: In the IT Documentation Specialist position, you’ll be responsible for documenting and updating all IT related processes, procedures and kb articles. This is a role where you’ll partner with different stakeholders in the IT organization to make sure our documentation is up to date and compliant. Additionally, our ideal candidate is a fast and flexible go-getter who jumps on new opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and productivity
Key Responsibilities
- Feed our IT ticketing system with knowledge base articles and update them where needed
- Create and update IT documentation for internal and external use
- Create and maintain change management documentation for technical teams
- Support the rollout of new tools by setting up user facing documentation
- Proofread, merge and format documents whenever required.
- Ensure documentation is standardized and sends a consistent message
- Identify and resolve problems in collaboration with IT stakeholders
- Ensure confidentiality in managing documents.
Background & Skills
- 1-3 years of technical writing or documentation experience preferably with experience in IT
- Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal (English)
- Excellent active listening skills
- Broad experience with translating processes, procedures and knowledge into clear documentation
- A creative, yet technical writer
- Visio and diagramming - familiarity with UML would be nice
- Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences
- Experience and/or the ambition to create video tutorials and willingness to train the global IT team to start creating these tutorials
- Extensive knowledge of atSpoke or similar tools
- Experience with Google Workplace, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
