Job Duties and Tasks : * Communicating and coordinating with their supervisor and project supervisors.* Obeying and following applicable traffic laws.
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations.* Performing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspection reports.* Loading, securing, and transporting excavators, bulldozers, rollers, and various heavy equipment.
- Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules.* Reporting defects, accidents, and violations.* Performing daily maintenance of truck.
Refueling, cleaning, removing trash, etc. )Job Activities : * Provide a consistent and unwavering focus for the safety of the truck driver, their truck, and others on the road.
Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.
Job Skills Required : * Ability to safely operate a lowboy truck.* Strong knowledge of safety regulations.* A clean driving record.
- Physical fitness since truck drivers are required to pass a physical exam every two years.* Hand-eye coordination, since they must coordinate their hands, legs, and eyes to maintain a fast reaction time on the road.
- Visual and hearing acuity in accordance with the federal regulations which mandate truck drivers must hear a forced whisper at 5 feet, have at least 20 / 40 vision, a 70-degree field of vision and ability to distinguish between the colors of a traffic light.
Knowledge, Experience, and Education Required : * Have a current Class A CDL License and health cards.* A minimum of One (1) year of experience of means, methods and tools involved in operating a lowboy truck for a construction company.
