SUMMARY
The Marketing Product Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Marketing Product Management team’s objectives in the new product development process and assuring a product meets quality, strategic and business goals throughout its lifecycle.
Works directly with the Marketing Product Manager and Marketing Product Specialist, and interacts frequently with the Engineering, Procurement, Production, Regional sales, Marketing communications, and Education team.
Uses creative thinking, shares innovative ideas to improve the execution of key activities for the customer led product development team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES : Other duties may be assigned
Upholds Andis Core Values in all work-related activities.
Manages the product data record (MIR) process and an active participant in the process overview. Maintains a database of all packaging dimensions, UPC codes, Tags, and packaging generations.
Involved with the packaging development and routing process, including communication with partners internally and externally.
Initiate new packaging jobs and give direction to the graphic design team. Track and communicate package process to key stakeholders, working with Product Manager, Packaging Engineer, Purchasing and QA to inspect package graphics, prototypes and first run orders.
Manages the Field Test database, organizes and executes product shipping to the test market, analyzes inputs and grows the Field Test population.
Provides customer service and sales with support on basic product questions, such as the weight of a new product or product features.
Manages the product data held in the Andis.com CMS tool. Actively updates product information and inputs new product information.
Key point of contact for marketing communications or customer service if a piece of content needs to be updated or added.
Assist the Marketing Product Manager and Marketing Product Specialist with varied market research, definition of new product scopes, coordination of prototype evaluation and testing at various stages of development, and development of product launch plans.
Supports continual process improvement by applying and sharing innovative and creative ideas.
Various limited travel is required throughout the United States in support of product research, trade shows, and events.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Four (4) year college degree desired with a concentration in business, marketing, communications or an equivalent combination of education, training, and expertise.
1-2 years industry experience in marketing, product marketing or related field is preferred.
Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to interact with a wide variety of associates within all levels of the organization.
Strong analytical skills with an appreciation for detail.
