Description of Primary Duties
The Student Media & Photo Specialist will collaborate with the Citizenship & Service-Learning department to create and manage visual content that promotes various programs and initiatives.
This role involves capturing high-quality photographs, producing engaging media content, and supporting the department's visual storytelling efforts while providing the student with hands-on experience in media production and photography.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities :
Media Production :
Create and edit visual content, including photographs and videos, to effectively showcase Citizenship & Service-Learning programs and events.Content Management :
Organize and maintain media assets, ensuring they are easily accessible and appropriately archived.Collaboration :
Work with team members to develop media strategies and content that align with the department's goals and messaging.Occasional Duties and Responsibilities :
Assist with additional tasks that support Citizenship & Service-Learning, such as event tabling, public relations, marketing, and basic data management.
Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications :
Enrollment Status : Must be currently enrolled as a student at the institution.Skills : Proficiency in industry-standard photography and video editing software, strong attention to detail, and a good eye for visual storytelling.
Experience : Previous experience in media production, photography, or related fields is required. Relevant coursework in media studies, communications, or visual arts is preferred.
Availability : Ability to commit to a regular schedule with flexibility for deadlines and special events.
