DRIVER / OPERATOR - Non-Emergency Medical Transportation
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Job Type: Full Time, Part Time, and Flexible schedules available

JOB SUMMARY:
Safely operate passenger vehicles to specific locations as directed.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate passenger sedans and 7, 8, 10, 12 and 15 passenger vans.
Assist passengers in boarding and exiting the vehicle.
Transport passengers in wheelchairs and/or scooters requiring four-point securement of the wheelchair or scooters.
Operate communications cell phone or on-board data device.
Perform specific delivery of passengers to locations listed on manifests.
Escorting passengers from vehicle to/from locations.
Communication of transport details with dispatch.
Other Duties as may be assigned
Must be able to sit for an extended period in driver seat of a vehicle.
Must be able to comfortably enter and exit a variety of passenger vehicles at driver door.

JOB REQUIREMENTS – CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Must possess and maintain a minimum Class D Tennessee Driver License with an F endorsement. An equivalent license issued from the employee’s state of residence is acceptable, provided the issuing state is contiguous to Tennessee.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and maintain compliance with post-employment drug screening.
Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Must pass a DOT physical and maintain a current DOT physical clearance during employment
Ability to read and write legibly. Some computer skills a plus.
Must be able to communicate clearly verbally.
Must have reliable transportation.
