What are the responsibilities and job description for the QC Inspector position at Medical Device Industry?
We are looking for a Quality Control Inspector to join our Fremont, CA team. As a uniquely qualified candidate, you will:
Follow written procedures and inspect selected samples of in process assembled and/or un-assembled parts for possible defect perform visual and mechanical inspection of manufactured parts prior to shipping by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Read / interpret / understand written procedures. (i.e., SOPs, OP Sheets, Drawings, Engineering Specs)
- Examine randomly selected samples of in process assembled and/or un-assembled parts for possible defects, utilizing unaided eye and/or aided eye methodology.
- Perform complex visual and/or mechanical inspections functions with minimal or no direct supervision / monitoring/follow up.
- Perform mechanical testing of manufactured parts prior to shipment. (Utilizing computer based equipment, etc.)
- Perform and demonstrate basic Math aptitude. (i.e., algebra, geometry, addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, statistics, in all units of measure. etc.)
- Accurate and legible data recording/calculations in logbooks, etc., on work completed and/or performed.
- Ensure personal and peer adherence to all applicable FDA / ISO / State / Local / Company / Health-Safety / Environmental policies. Report infractions to supervision.
- Set up and use of equipment utilized by job function. (i.e., microscope, micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, optical comparators, tapi charts, etc..) Ensuring conformance to specifications.
- Interface with peers, supervision, engineering, and management, professionally and respectfully.
- Proficient in and ability to demonstrate basic computer skill set. (i.e., use of Excel, Microsoft Word. etc.)
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $21.50 - $23.00 per hour
