Alamance Health Care Center in Burlingon, North Carolina is seeking a Certified Medication Aide. The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) assists the licensed nurse (RN/LPN) in providing safe and ethical care for the residents, administering prescribed drugs, and completing other delegated nursing tasks allowed by state law:
- Delivering routine daily medications, either prescription or non-prescription to patients under direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
- Document medication administration and observe residents for drug interactions and report any problem to the nurse.
- Performs tasks associated with medication administration, including patient vital signs, calculate medication dosages and stock the medication cart.
- Assists the nurse in providing care to the residents, which includes observation and reporting of resident needs.
- Respond to resident call lights and provide ADL's
Qualifications:
Must have current North Carolina Medication Aide and Nurse Aide Certification in good standing.
